Also for a lark took the quiz at Find Your Spot - the results are telling, I guess, especially as where I actually live falls near the bottom of recommended cities! My #1 "spot" is Honolulu, ironic since it was just this week I was talking to D. about how it must be hard to be out in the middle of nowhere like that :P I think I could appreciate some of the California sites though. Pity it only includes the U.S. though, because despite my sheltered life I'm sure I could learn to live in the right foreign city ;)
I do recognize the ease and value of staying in one place, and after helping
geekchick move yesterday, I am reminded of the stress and sheer inconvenience of having to pack up and move your small corner of the world, even if it's just a short distance - I've never done it, but moving across the country must be a unique form of hell :/
Still, sometimes I do wonder what it would be like to wander... Hmm..
