Just watched my cats team up to kill a bug, the first large one of the season (I don't know what it's called - I call it a "breakfast bug" because that is its usual fate once the cats get ahold of it). (Edit: turns out that "breakfast bug" = house centipide. They do bite so perhaps I should be more careful about letting the cats play with them).

Kisia found it and "pointed", meowing quite clearly that I should either 1) hold her up so she could see it, or 2) knock it into the floor so she could play with it. I opted for the latter (done carefully with feather toy on a long stick) and brought in Spice ("the terminator") to assist.

They batted it back and forth between them, and after they'd played with it to death Spice ate it (I love that she removes the bodies - she'd make a great "cleaner"). It's like the African savanna on a very small scale - they're both now sniffing around the house and staring at the walls, seeking more things to hunt and kill.

They're both such good little predators - makes a cat-mom proud! [wipes tear]

Ebay appears to be branching out into high profile Hollywood collectibles - this may not be news, but I'm very curious as to whether the Ascot dress from My Fair Lady is the real deal or just a copy, as the entry mentions no certificate of authenticity. Other goodies: Sean Connery's "Highlander" gear and Blade's swords (props made of resin - not good for real combat, dammit!)

Phil Noto's Art - 50's tinged comic book superheroes, courtesy D. I like the Warrior Woman and is it just me or is the third panel taken directly from Leon (The Professional)? Anyway, good stuff.
