I saw two goth kids while I was at the grocery.
Notable if only because I don't see very many in the 'burbs, and because they were so well turned out - vests and platform-buckled boots and careful coordination (such as it is, everything being black).
I almost stopped one of them to ask him where he got his boots, but ultimately refrained. I remembered that to anyone under 18 I surely appear to be mad old bat and my expressing interest in his footwear would have destroyed his sartorial self-confidence for life (or, at least, until college) :P
I'm the "grownup" now. That CRACKS me up!

Heh or maybe not. I know what you mean about actually feeling old, though. Not like grandfather old or anything but just realizing there's a social or generational division between me and people younger than myself, whereas previously I was always in the youngest (adult) subgroup.
