odds and ends
Sep. 21st, 2004 09:21 pmMy ideal job? Given recent hair angst this may be
Went to the dermatologist today; turns out I am suffering from nothing more than bad, localized acne (which, happily, is currently healing up). He prescribed a preventative gel and an antibiotic in case it ever flares up again (which I will most likely not use - I can't see using an antibiotic for mere vanity). Speaking of vanity...
Given that I was there in the office, I asked the Dr. about my thinning hair problem. His verdict: it's lack of iron, malfunctioning thyroid, or the Depo. No problem for me - if it's the price of childfreedom/sanity, I'll happily pay it. If it gets very bad I'll just shave my head and make myself some wigs :P
And speaking of shocking costumes, better pictures of Noreascon's Terry Pratchett costumes are now available - click the Masquerade Masters for large, full color shots of the Luggage and Cohen the Barbarian and friends.

Date: 2004-09-22 04:11 am (UTC)I tell you, several times I've come close. I'd get a crew cut if I thought for a second it would look good on me (hairstylist malfunction in college assured me it doesn't, unfortunately)! Hair = work. The ancient Egyptians had the right idea - chop the real stuff, save the fancy 'dos for wigs!
