When it comes to getting gas prices under control, George Bush has misled America. America is more dependent than ever on Mid-East oil. John and I have a plan to make America energy independent by investing in new technologies and alternative fuels. John and I believe we need to rely on American ingenuity and brainpower to ensure our country's freedom and independence, not on the Royal Saudi family.

this really get my hopes up! it's year 2004 and the World is still depending on oil!?? the oil industry lobbying hold us back and prevents the big discovery of teleportatins technology. give me StarTrek now! sitting here and yell does not help, Sweden is way too small.

I don't think the oil thing is emphasized nearly enough here - Americans are, IMHO spoiled by having gas for under $2USD/gallon - when it goes over this it's a newsworthy story. Isn't gas much more expensive in other countries?

I swear, I joke that sometimes the whole Iraq war is like a perverse, real life version of "Dune" - the spice (oil) must flow! :/

we pay approxiamtely 10 SEK/L, I think 1 gallon is about 4L and $1 is about 10 SEK so that would give we pay pretty much double to what you pay for the gas.

yep, Dune allright, the spice must flow to whatever cost, imagine the look on Mr Bush's face once the Iraqi people comes riding them gigant worms. hi ho Silver!
