snow day - good or bad?

anotheranonDespite my joy at having unscheduled leave this morning, I am concerned about coverage at work. I'd try and straggle out in it except I'm concerned that there is more ice forecast - I might be able to get to work, but it's questionable that I'd be able to get home!
I've called work, with no answer - if there's something urgent going on, I'm going to try and get there. If not, I'm not sure I'd feel safe driving in this.

Date: 2004-01-26 05:04 pm (UTC)Wish I'd had one today. It was solid ice when we came out at 5. Railings, steps, sidewalks, parking lot, windshields. Made going home from work an adventure and a half!
Tomorrow may be worse, who can tell. Very weird weather. Stay home, Allison. That's an order!
