Don't Go Texas
Dec. 17th, 2003 11:39 amWhile the fact that dildos are illegal to sell in Texas wasn't news to me, I find it astounding that this law is actually being enforced!
Actually, I'm not sure which is more disturbing, that this woman was arrested for selling a sex toy or that undercover narcotics officers are being employed to uncover such "crimes". I'm no fan of punitive drug laws but surely there is enough illegal drug trafficking/use in Texas that their narcotics officers shouldn't be wasting their time on this!!
My family almost moved to Houston when I was in 7th grade, but backed out. Thank the makers - I don't think I would have survived!

1. Texas men are such lousy lovers that laws need to be passed to keep their partners from finding out that there is such a thing as good sex.
2. Texas men are such fantastic lovers that their partners can't be arsed to challenge such bizarre laws.
My inclination is to suspect number one with serious delusions of number two. Mebbe we can organize a charity drive and emergency airdrop ... saturation bomb the state with sex toys ;-)
