backdated test post

Well, can ya see THIS one?

I shoulda napped, but didn't. D. and I just finished watching "Superman Returns" again. I swear, the villians are the best in this movie - Parker Posey and Kevin Spacey chew up and spit scenery all over the place, but the new Superman is more Averageman - big, bland Boy Scout in tights :P

technical issue

OK, think I've figured out the cause, if not the remedy:

For the past couple of weeks, LJ has been setting at least some of my entries to GMT, and whenever I've caught it and gone in to manually correct the date it's removed the entries from y'alls Friends pages, though you can still see them at my journal.

Since LJ rebooted itself last night, nothing else has been backdating so I've not had to go in and manually reset anything (except last night's test post) so everything's showing up.

Remedy: none I know of, but I'll report this to LJ support. Thanks for your help!

word of the weekend

Polymath. First brought to my attention over at hanne_blank.

Relevant because I know a lot of them. And, this past weekend, met even more. Aspire to be one, but I suspect I'm rather an extremely omnivorous philomath.

Is conversation an intoxicant? I suspect so, because I've been fairly twitching from all the shared brain activity and I know it's not just the java.
