extremely advance planning
Nov. 6th, 2006 10:15 pmGritted teeth and ordered tickets to see King Tut. In March.
Normally I don't like to make plans this far in advance. I never know what my finances will be like until I'm practically on top of an event so I tend to put off making the "should I stay or should I go?" decision as long as possible.
But Tut has special nostalgic value for me. The first museum exhibit I remember was the King Tut exhibit in Chicago back in 1977. I was 4, and spent most of it asleep on my dad's shoulder, but I do remember the big gold death mask very clearly. I simply must see it now that I'm at an age where I'd actually remember everything!
