tweet(s) of the day
Sep. 3rd, 2009 08:00 pm- 22:38 Gmail back but appears to be shunting things off to the trash without my permission (??) Anyone else experiencing this?
- 08:51 Dining table accumulating stacks again. Irksome. Must clean off this evening/weekend.
- 08:53 Am again reminded of @dustdaughter's observation that 140 char. limit makes one read like Rorshach from "Watchmen".
- 09:01 Spice (cat) having an extended yowl/frisky this morning.
Took me until today to realize that Twittinesis wasn't posting twice, but that LoudTwitter is back. Fixed so that hopefully no more repeats, because fantastic as the Two Towers to a live orchestra/soloists is and was, you don't need to read it twice.
Actually, you need to read it 3 times (mentioned here again), because it WAS that good. The thunderstorm perfectly timed to the beginning of the battle of Helms Deep on screen (wonder how the venue arranged that) as well. And while the violin solo for Eowyn/Rohan gives me chills, it does even more so live!
Sincere thanks to C. who discovered the event/got us tix, and it was a lovely evening out with D., C., C.'s husband A. and A., visiting from out of town :)

tweet silence
Jul. 9th, 2009 10:53 pmEvidently LoudTwitter died, so I'm forced to find other means of porting those over here.
I'm giving Twittinesis a swing - y'all let me know how these show up. I do plan to Tweet from Nationals.

I am making a conscious effort to spend less time online.
No, really!
I'll be keeping up with my email, writing, and LJ but I'll likely be paring down the Communities some and I'm going to try not to just surf aimlessly (MyConfinedSpace: The Timekiller), which means fewer posts about the burning questions facing us in these trying times (see poll).
So hopefully you'll read here fewer posts but more interesting (More beef! Less filler!), but, I'll cheerfully take bets on whether I can make it a week without posting a quiz or silly YouTube thingamajig :P

technical issue
Nov. 5th, 2006 11:22 amOK, think I've figured out the cause, if not the remedy:
For the past couple of weeks, LJ has been setting at least some of my entries to GMT, and whenever I've caught it and gone in to manually correct the date it's removed the entries from y'alls Friends pages, though you can still see them at my journal.
Since LJ rebooted itself last night, nothing else has been backdating so I've not had to go in and manually reset anything (except last night's test post) so everything's showing up.
Remedy: none I know of, but I'll report this to LJ support. Thanks for your help!

can you hear me now?
Nov. 4th, 2006 08:00 pmJust for giggles, if you're reading this on your friends list can you comment on this post, to figure out who is being affected? Thanks.
welcome new people!
Feb. 8th, 2006 06:30 pmJust noticed that I've friended more than a few in the past couple of months, so now would be a good time to remind everyone about the TMI Poll - if I've friended you, go ahead and see if you want to be filtered in; older folks are welcome to update their own selections at any time.
Please keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. You must be this tall to ride this ride :P
Only news of mass substance - feeling kinda "ick" and going to the doc for sinus complaints tomorrow. Yes, such is the exciting scope of my life....
