weekend in review
Apr. 2nd, 2006 08:36 pmI was surprising this weekend. I Did Stuff(TM).
I cleaned up some old piles of junk and dusted (achoo!) I also got one half of the fencing doublet corded (I'm using hemp cord instead of bones because this isn't supposed to be as form-controlling as a corset). So far it seems like it will provide the right degree of support while maintaining freedom of movement :)
Had coffee with groovy people, both already met and newly met, and caffiene fueled conversation covered the gamut between work, school, life, "how did we get here?" all the way through history, textilia, and the dearth of fresh okra in the nation's capital. Will definitely have to keep having coffee klatches, especially with the new, shiny spring weather.
And the weather really does have me almost bouncing out of the window - I have far too much energy when the weather turns warm and the days get longer!
Think I'll top off the weekend with a self-pedicure..

Apr. 2nd, 2006 11:32 pmI was just talking today about how the internet helps us find those who share our particular, specific interests, and lo: clicking "Vivienne Westwood" on my interests page found me
vwestwood. Perhaps even more incredibly, it's active(!)
I am thrilled to tiny pieces to find that at least one nation on this earth (Japan) makes rocking horse shoe knockoffs - even the price is reasonable (that 9800 yen translates to roughly $85 USD). No shopping now, but filing away in my mental banks for the future.
Now if she would just license with a pattern company, my sartorial life would be whole... for awhile...
