The Mysterious White Thing: what is that thing she has around her shoulders? The discussion about the nature of the white band seen in some portraits of Tudor women comes up every so often on my different costuming lists; one person has even compiled a list of the most popular theories. The latest idea being floated is that it's a symbol of religous affiliation. I think it might be used to hitch up skirts.

Trying to do the responsible thing, pay bills etc. before I sort out just how I'm going to do Costume Con. Yes, I know it's not 'til April, but given my financial limitations I need to start planning now.

Must also finish the Pink Thing, though I'm not sure what's become of most of my partners in crime ([livejournal.com profile] shemhazai - I know you're on the ball, have you heard squeak from anyone else?). Need shoes, gloves, wig, hat. Oh yeah, and the dress :P
