Good news!
Jun. 26th, 2002 08:56 pm"Under God" in pledge ruled unconstitutional.
This has been a bugbear of mine for YEARS..... it always gave me the vibe that if you didn't believe in the Judaeo-Christian god you weren't really an American, a stance I have always disagreed with.
Of course, it was only added into the pledge during the 1950s paranoia about those dreadful godless Commies, you know.
