vitamin wars
Oct. 23rd, 2008 11:07 pmIn addition to acclimating the cats to their diminished diet (Kisia is crawling in my lap as I type this because she's so hungry, and we're determined to keep quantity/timing on OUR schedule), we're trying to get them accustomed to a vitamin supplement.
This has been easy for Spice - she's not noticing the food crunch as much because she's very happy to take whatever crushed pill/paste supplement she's offered if it's mixed in canned cat food. Kisia - not so much. She's holding out for dry lamb and rice, dammit and refuses to be fobbed off with ANYTHING less. No, not even people tuna from a can. The addition of a vitamin is an additional insult.
Tonight I put some of the tuna-flavored paste (we're experimenting with a bunch of different vitamins) on her foot and she did lick it off - after running around the living room trying to shake it off. I suspect the presentation left something to be desired :P
