Saturday was my first competition since April (!). Suckage is relative. Considering my hiatus and the fact that I was going up against some VERY good people, I didn't do so bad. Compared to my performance back in the spring, I was in the basement and digging :/ Getting back up on the horse though, and have another in a couple of weeks to continue breaking myself back in.

dotheranon has been taking the de-cluttering book we've both been reading to heart and had started to fill what became 5 boxes of donateable books, freeing up shelf space for things we DO want that had been sitting on workbenches/coffee tables for over a year due to lack of space - it's BEAUTIFUL!
Given yesterday's competition, I decided not to fence today and given the rare Sunday morning off we went to Indian buffet for lunch (swoon). I could about live off the butter chicken. We swung by 2 used book stores afterwards and weren't able to unload much; I suspect the rest will wind up donated to the library.
After that I was on fire - I paid the bills, registered for two upcoming cons and started the application for passport renewal/absentee ballot acquisition.
As ever the coming week looks hairy. As ever I'll hang on by the seat of my pants.
