Just watched the ITV movie for Sarah Waters' Affinity - a surprise from D. as I didn't even know it had been adapted. As ever, very very good - not as great as TTV or Fingersmith, but this is Sarah Waters, so it's still better than 95% of what's out there!

I'm very excited about this. I have to admit to being one of the weird people for whom Affinity was my favorite of her books.

I enjoyed it, but it didn't seem as well paced to me. Or, at least, not as fast paced - the tension is from the characters waiting, not acting.

Of course, see the bit about Sarah Waters being generally awesome.

FWIW, the actress who plays Selina (the prisoner) is Zoe Tapper - she also played mean girl Gemma in "Hex".
