unsolicited advice/grab bag

Just got back from the Other Club I attend when my usual isn't in session. Mostly had a good workout, but....

Understand, I like it when my opponents tell me where I'm messing up - I can use the feedback to correct my game. Even better is when my opponent is much more skilled than I and willing to show me some ways to correct my game.

Not so cool is when said Experienced Opponent(TM) starts drilling me like.. well, a drill instructor. Yeah, I needed to practice it, but I didn't ask for an impromptu lesson and I didn't ask to be barked at - I do not take orders well, especially outside of "lesson space".

What was worst though, is that while his delivery sucked, EO made some good points.

I have learned much, but I am not a Jedi yet :/

I was going to post on Dr. Horrible tooooo! It's divine, I love it! How much more fun can you have -- an out gay actor, a musical, and Nathan Fillian as Captain Hammer! :D

I'm familiar enough with the stereotypes to find them funny; no idea how accurate any of it is IRL though - I don't "speak lesbian" fluently..
