Steven Moffat of "Coupling" fame to take over as Dr. Who lead writer. Found through both quasiestrophagy and ragdoll, the latter of whom wonders whether we'll get Richard "Crazy Jeff" Coyle as a Doctor, and/or spanking lesbian companions.

Way back when I first heard that Doctor Who was coming back in 2005, and I heard that Moffat was just going to be on the writing staff, some friends and I speculated on how Richard Coyle would be as the Doctor. :-)

It's not my fault that Mr Moffat sat there at his live commentary panel and mused about how exciting it would have been to see Sally Sparrow and Kathy Nightingale involved in hot lesbian action or Martha Jones and Sally or just about any other hot female, now is it?

Oh, yes, it was Moffat all weekend long at Gallifrey. He loves his lesbians (that sound so wrong -- and it is!)

Remember, on Coupling, Steve Taylor *is* Steve Moffat just as Susan is Moffat's wife Sue. So things that come out of tv!Steve's mouth are/were pretty much just a reflection of what the real Steve Moffat thinks. (Granted as through a funhouse mirror. LOL) The lesbian pr0n obsession clearly is one trait that stayed the same.

Coupling, OMG I love that show! It's hilarious to learn from the comment above that the character actually reflects the real guy. I will have to pass that info on. :-D
