Because for some reason LJ won't let me tack this after the poll:

I ask because I've not bought any music in several years and while I love the convenience of audio files, I don't know how likely it is that I'll find rare/reissued/out of print material converted to MP3. Besides, are the advantages of not having more discs cluttering up shelf space worth the loss of cover art/liner notes/the like?

Have you looked at the mp3 sites? While it doesn't have everything, I have been consistently surprised and pleased by the weird and obscure stuff that's available on iTunes.

Plus, my iPod allows me instant gratification as an amateur DJ. It's so quick and easy to put together playlists and then listen to them it's almost obscene!

Can you tell I love my iPod?

Really? And here I thought I was being subtle....
