Though, a correctly tailored black leather doublet with silver studs and safety pins could conceivably be cool....

I dunno ... the models all have this expression that seems to say, "You can make me wear it, but you can't make me like wearing it!"

Somewhere among my half-completed projects is a leather jacket inspired by early 17th c. styles, but all the slashes close with zippers. I really must get back to that now that I have a sewing machine that's happier about sewing leather.

I'd love to see that - it sounds like a much more successful version of "punk tudor" than the ill-fitted things in the video :P

And yeah - the models DO all look pretty resentful don't they?
