I'm working on a review/boosterism post for the new Orbital: Live at Glastonbury 2CD/1DVD set and I keep remembering how much this band meant when we were young and a bit silly and how well they hold up today. Premiere electronic composers that worked within a dance motif.

A lot of the rave genre can be written off as filler with beats - fun, but no real creativity or staying power. Orbital is definitely one of the exceptions :)
