I had a nice Christmas - yes, despite my complaining, grinchy posts of the last couple of weeks, the day/weekend itself was very good. Much bookage and other gifty goodness + 4 days of relaxation with friends, D., and my hobbies was very welcome indeed :)
Still, the post-holiday "hangover" between Christmas and New Year's still disorients me even though it's the same every year - a month of hectic followed by inertia. I have to be at work but there's very little to do, there is almost no one on the roads morning or evening, and it seems evident that everything is on hold until January 2, when the serious business of Getting On With It can continue.
In an effort to normalize I'm taking the night off SCA practice to do some cleaning and tidying and finishing up of the last brownies of the season (not all at once, geez!)
But man, it is just strange, this in-between time. Makes me jumpy.

Date: 2007-12-27 02:38 pm (UTC)I'm jumpy too, this year. Usually this time is for relaxing and hibernation at work, doing them little cleansing thingies I never have time for, but this year I'm plain jumpy.
Peculiar x 2.
