Feels about like 28 so far, but I'll give it some time.

I'm an odd number year now, which always nips at me - I like even numbers better. But 29 is a prime number, so its got some cool cachet.

And it really is 29, not "29 for the nth time". I don't dread getting older, as I find I'm happier/in better shape/more confident/just better as I age.

D. showed me a sweet and placid birthday. Let me sleep in, got me lovely books, and even suffered through several hours of overheating so I'd be comfortable - until we both got hot enough to forfeit the windows and put on the air conditioning.

My ever surprising sister sent me "Reservoir Dogs" action figures (?? who knew these things existed?) Mr. Pink, Mr. Orange, Mr. White and another one are now set up next to Mulder and Scully on the action figure shelf.

I took a nice walk after dinner - thunder clouds are bearing down but it hasn't rained yet.
