Today I managed to break my body cord in a way that two of my fencing buddies had never seen before :P One of them offered to repair it, for which I am grateful.

Also managed to break the faucet-thingy on the water cooler as well - it takes real talent to do this :P

I can't figure it - I work all day Thursday and then go to club, and I'm more "on the ball" than when I go fence first thing after breakfast. One would think I'd be fresher in the morning but today (like other Sundays) I was plagued by tiredness and stupid :/

I still managed to participate in the mock tournament, including 2 15-touch direct eliminations, and had a lesson - I feel like I've been hit by a truck!

The lesson was more distance work and choosing the opportune time to attack - when my opponent is preparing but isn't quite there is an ideal moment but very hard to identify outside of practice drills, so again - time and experience will win the day, but I'm impatient for it to hurry up already.

I was going to sew a bit more but suspect I'll mess up if I try - instead I'm going to read until it's time to make/do/something dinner.

Glad you're pushing yourself harder and farther with the swordplay ...

... and that you have the wisdom to know when not to play with needlethings ... it's not just the messing up, but the getting the bloodstains out of the fabric ... :p
