Though, wierd, because Neil Gaiman reminds me quite eerily of my ex-fiance...talks the same, same gestures & turns of phrase, same mindset, for all the world like my ex's doppelganger. It unsettled me so much when I went to see him at a reading that I gave up my place in line to get something autographed.
Though, still, he's up there with Le Guin and Judi Dench and Tim Burton as "folks to go out to lunch with."
Funny you mention Judi Dench - just saw an amazing portrait of her at the Portrait Gallery today. I want to be her when I grow up!
Re: Gaiman - remind me one of these days to show you his "Live at the Aladdin" as it shows all the reasons I want him to be my next door neighbor who comes over every night to read me to sleep - not only does he write good stories, he reads them aloud well :)
Rawr!
