With the 80's comeback, I feared it was coming, but dared to hope.. and was disappointed: acid wash jeans return. I think I did own a pair finished this way, and IIRC the wash to create the effect not only itched but weathered the fabric so badly that it ripped easily (perhaps causing the companion 80's trend of ripped jeans?) Can extremely retro puff and slash be far behind?

I only owned one pair of anything acid washed (I was in about 5th grade and couldn't get my mom to spring for trendy clothes), and while I found no pumice stones, I DID find sand...

OMG! Just sand? I got marble-sizd little pumice stones. They were so kewl. ;p (I was just out of college, so that's about... 1987 or 88.)
