Well, not STRAIGHT out, I'm actually at Shem's for the evening before my flight tomorrow, but even so...

WHEW! One hell of a 4 day weekend, full of lots of brain-breaking medieval scholarship! In addition, a lot of inspiration, and I am hoping that I can sustain the intellectual momentum well/long enough to get more organized.

Most prominent take-away thought is that I need to tighten my organization of my hobbies just a little bit more. Cleaning up my sewing/computer area so I know where things are should really help, as well as reading the books I have more critically with an eye towards going backwards towards primary sources, etc.

Maybe one day I'll play with the big kids after all :P

But now - deeply tired, sore (carrying note taking materials all over campus!) and waiting for pizza to get here.

Cool! What did he present on? If it was something digital, it is possible we shared a session (I sat in on one about the issues surrounding making medieval texts available digitally).

I'd very much like to meet him in any case.

Looked him up - I didn't sit in on his session, but he had the same organizer as the one I DID sit in on. I am guessing based on interests he may have been in the audience as well.
