anotheranonToday, C. took me shopping and lunch for my birthday :)
Comments: once again I am reminded that H&M does incredibly well constructed clothing for their price range - linings, finished seams, the works! She picked me up a pair of black cotton/linen pants (suitable for work and play) and a pair of sunglasses (because I really should start wearing a pair).
Ate a hideous amount of food atCholesterolCheescake Factory and caught up with C. I'd say that after only 4 months in new house/job/coast, she's adapting remarkably well, but then, she's always managed to make herself comfortable wherever she is :)
During the trip I got it into my head that I wanted some pretty panties - some with lace and/or black, something nicer than my usual cotton knickers.
Alas, it's popsicle color season at the Maul Shops and I couldn't find 5 for $20 or 3 for $30 or however many of anything in colors that I liked to bother with.
So, I stopped off at Nordstrom Rack on the way home - they know black is always in style (and so is red!) So ultimately I did find what I was looking for, and another pair of pants for work besides (my two best work pants are 1) ~8 years old, and 2) at least a size too big. It was an extravagance, but a needed one).
So, I was treated by a friend and treated myself a little, and that was nice :)
