Just got in my registration for this year's Kalamazoo Medieval Congress, a new favorite opportunity to socialize and soak up historical information until my head explodes :) I've read less than half of the list of available sessions and there seems to be a lot more martial arts this year (lectures and demos), and because I know what to expect I think I can plan my time there even better than I did last year.

I plan to attend at least one session in something I know nothing about (monastic life or Medieval Spain both appeal), and approach at least one new person a day, because one can learn so much about others by coming out of one's shell.

Excellent! I know shalmestre and Dr. Science are coming, and I'll be there with my friend Lady Anghard. I just sent in my registration this week so haven't gotten my program book yet, but it'll be terrific, I'm sure.
