BSG, "the boxing episode"
Feb. 3rd, 2007 09:01 pmI've been catching up on the latest season of Battlestar Galactica, and finally got to this much lauded episode:
Poor Anders. Poor Dee. Little though they may shine compared to the main characters, you've still gotta feel for them.
But don't pity the audience because we get to see Starbuck kick Lee's ass while wearing little more than a sports bra! I think she may have officially passed Aeryn Sun in my mental gallery of Hot SciFi Women (the tattoos work - if I had a back like that I'd tat it too!)
Ahem. There was actually plot involved and while I'm not terribly surprised at the revelation about Lee and Starbuck, I thought it was well played and paced in the context of the other flashbacks. Whatever may be said of Starbuck and/or Lee's hotness, IMHO they're both too fscked up to be with anyone, perhaps even each other.
Speaking of other flashbacks, I'm having a Pollyanna moment over the Laura/Bill canoodling (because, let's face it, snuggling between [ex]presidents and their military leaders doesn't happen everyday). Sure, it's unprofessional, but it's nice to see the two clearly smart and mature people have a meeting of the minds - if they ever do get together they'll take over the world(s) (alas, could not find a decent screencap).
Happily not another Balthar/Cylon of the week snoozefest - why anyone wants that little drowned chihuahua is anyone's guess :P
