I understand that the play is quite naughty - his character is fixated on horses.

I saw a version of "Equus" filmed back in the 1970s (?) with Richard Burton as the psychologist trying to figure out the kid who was into horses - it is sexual in a very weird way.

I would guess that if Radcliffe is trying not to be stereotyped, this will certainly help that along!
