remains of the day
Mar. 18th, 2002 10:15 pmYou knew it had to happen sooner or later - there is another joke award for bad movies and worse acting - appropriately called the Keanu.
I saw an article linked off Buzzflash earlier indicating that Politically Incorrect had been cancelled. The link was dead and is no longer there, and I can find no mention of this elsewhere. I hope it was a false alarm - its the only political satire tv show (that I know of) out there, and we live in desperate need of political incorrectness right about now, even if I can only read transcripts online (damn our wimpy local affiliate)...
I did the washing up tonight - D. is tired due to only 5 hours of sleep last night, so I thought I'd let him off the hook. The poor man has a broken/absent internal clock and finds it almost impossible to nod back off once he's awake.
Tomorrow I'm taking the day off work to take care of some medical appointments - best to line as many of them up on one day as possible so I don't have to remember multiple dates/take multiple bits of days off. I also need to stop by the sewing machine part store - yes, after 10 years of heavy abuse the foot pedal finally *broke*. Not urgent as the serger pedal is compatible but inconvenient so I might as well take the time between appointments to try and replace it.
Big debate of the evening - continue with book about the 14th century or start book about Mothman/other mysterious creatures. I used to constantly read more than one book at a time (a chapter in one, then a chapter in the next, etc.) but I've been wimping out.
More sewing on the dress. Rows and rows of gathering thread, which when completed I'll use to gather the whole thing into tiny pleats. Then boil. Recipe for awesome dress if the pleats are lined up right.
To bed, if I can bear to dislodge Lap Mogul cat from my lap...
