short fencing post...

...because it's been the longest day in the world and I'm scraping the bottom of my brainpan:
- didn't do anything to my knee even though the floor seemed unusually slippery (dust?) - go me!
- manipulating the blade with fingers instead of wrist is feeling more and more natural
- most of my "seeing the negative space" practice fell down because I was tired, though:
- I did a lot of directing and I think I'm starting to see who has the attack faster
- powered on perhaps longer/later than I should have because I wanted to fence everyone there at least once, and two people were in private lessons at various times.
- Related: I need to determine when I'm so physically/mentally tired that I'm not progressing, and just stop. I don't mind getting my ass kicked, as long as I know I'm doing my best out there.
- Related: I've started to really like winning. Not to the point that I'm a spoilsport or get bent out of shape when I lose. But, I do preen a bit internally when I get a touch :P
