interesting book

Technically this book is a profile of a new, exciting photographer, but what interests me more was what she photographed, and how. Through painstaking preparation, this woman managed to disguise herself as various different people - a stripper, an elderly woman, an punk, a schoolgirl, to name a few - infiltrate their "scenes", and photograph what she saw.
I find this fascinating, from a "transformative-power-of-clothes" perspective and from the serious examination of the flexibility of identity. Imagine, being able to mutate and fit in at will, sort of a subcultural spy. I love the idea.
