I went out on my fabric search mission today. I did actually find what I needed for both the tuxedo jacket and mock Fortuny, including buttons, interfacing, etc. Now I need to go through and iron/shrink everything (if need be) before I start cutting. Think I'll start on the Fortuny first as it will take less time, and then start the long tailoring project.
Beautiful day!!! Even if rainy, it was still warm. The outside as an *odor* again, of wet soil and vegetation.
Stopped off at Anthropologie only to realize that the local shop didn't necessarily carry all of the stuff featured at the website, and that the stuff that they did have was either too small, or too cheaply made, or - usually - just too girly. I can't carry off the lace, ruffles, and pastels very well (though I got some ideas of things to re-create in better fabric/other colors - as usual :/ ). I did find an interesting skirt on the sale rack though.
I had to use a belt to keep my jeans up today. Mixed emotions.. I did want to lose some weight, but I hate wearing belts.
Going to go fix dinner now. Think I'll wait till later to iron, and move the ironing board up to the living room and save stuff to tape to kill the boredom of ironing multiple yards of fabric. Nothing like having your sewing, silk, Holland-devouring bugs and vampire Elvii too....
