My sister is now a Browncoat. I showed her the first few episodes during her visit; she got the entire series on DVD and is on a roll!

I'm so glad I can still be a bad influence, even at our advanced ages :P

Introducing your sister to what is one of the best science fiction shows made is hardly being a bad influence.

I still miss Firefly. I am only somwhat comforted by the fact that its approach to special effects and direction seems to have survived in the new incarnation of Battlestar Galactica.

Even so, I miss the crew of Serenity.

Perhaps not from an artistic standpoint, but certainly from a timesuck one. 13 episodes + 2 hour movie = lots of (admittedly quality) time in front of the teevee.

And the damage it will do to her speech patterns will be noticeable. Shiny!
