trying to get lots done
Mar. 3rd, 2002 08:59 pmPretty accomplished today - managed to change cat litters, do laundry, get food marinating for eating later in the week, save some stuff to tape. I roque :P
I went out to Tower to pick up my bi-yearly fashion magazine fix to look at the spring fashions. I ended up picking up mostly street style and music magazines because a quick flip through the Bazaar/Vogue/Elle standards revealed much more space devoted to celebrity activities than to fashion. Bazaar in particular used to be very good about having a large section entirely devoted to pictures straight off the runways (suitable for clipping/scanning) but not this time. When I pick up a fashion magazine - especially one advertising "Spring 2002" on the cover - I want to see CLOTHES, not a spread about the latest movie star's wonderful charity work or an obscure socialite's favorite vacation spot. I just want a tiny bit of truth in advertising, is that so wrong?
Also aching for some new tunes - the last thing I got was a disc of old (i.e., late 80s/early 90s) "Balearic" dance - some new to me, but many not and certainly not recent. Hence the music magazines - I am so far out of the loop I have no idea what new music I'd even like these days...oh how the mighty have fallen...
Off to re-make the bed and take care of other sundries before bedtime. 24 hours of sleep over the weekend has set me in good stead but I know it won't be enough for an entire week.
