Back from the Congress.

It was/is phenomenal! A fuller writeup at some nebulous future point - for now, I'm going (mostly) incommunicado until after Weds. (math final). Meanwhile, amuse yourselves with Chaucer's Kalamazoo pick-up lines ("The preeste telleth me that we aren more than VII degrees of consanguinitee. Game on!")

jlsjlsjls: the book rooms (rooms!!) are to die and kill for! I can send you a full listing of my personal damage (or post if others are interested).

Will work up book list; alas, no pix (most presentations were Powerpoint and wouldn't have translated well to film. And I spent so much non-lecture time chatting I doubt I would have remembered to take pictures if I hadn't always left the camera in the room :/)

Oh yes! The 'Zoo is amazing -- I always have to limit my book haul to $200 or I can hurt myself. It's wonderful to go when you have company -- the last time I went I was alone and it wasn't much fun. :( P'haps next year I'll go, if others do.

Gads, I hear you re: the hurting yourself with books! I had to pay an overweight fee on my suitcase on the way back (!)

You'll have to come next year and party with DISTAFF - they're lots of fun and terrifically bright and interesting :)
