Artful, indeed!!! But didn't you get the distinct impression that the audience was nervous to the max during this whole performance! The applause at the end was less than enthusiastic.

I'm sure the audience WAS uncomfortable - he was taking on almost everyone in the room! I think he had respect for Helen Thomas though - which is fair, she deserves it (IMHO).

Not prime time, but he does have his own show (http://www.colbertnation.com/colbertnation/). He's an alum of Jon Stewart's "Daily Show" and while the initial shows weren't quite all they could be I'm reconsidering making the effort to watch.
