Finally catching up on season 2 (I think the season's finished?) and enjoying muchly. The show won a Peabody this year for "its parallax considerations of politics, religion, sex, even what it means to be 'human.'" - very much deserved IMHO for the depth and nuance of the storytelling.

D. and I both really want Tigh's wife to turn out to be a Cylon, just because she is so cruel and underhanded - she needs to be smacked!

Lee Adama has a body that just won't quit - I mean really. This guy must live in the gym!

Starbuck still has hips and a tummy - unlike seemingly every other woman on tv (cough*Claudia Black*cough) the actress hasn't been coerced into losing 20 pounds she can't spare. Not only does this please me on the eye candy front, as a woman I'm pleased to see the bucking of the unrealistic/stereotypical tall skinny supermodel trend :)

And that's not dissing the blond Cylon woman - with her multiple roles as Gaius' "Harvey" and the abused former Pegasus prisoner, the writers are giving the actress the opportunity to show some range.

Being commander of the Pegasus is like being the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor - not one of them lasts for very long :P

Admiral Adama and President Roslin show respect for each other's abilities, even when they disagree. If that little kiss right as she was dying leads to anything, that could be a real match of equals!

I love this show utterly and completely.

And I am very glad that Jamie Bamber is more than happy to allow himself to be sexually exploited on a regular basis. I'm not normally into big buff dudes (well, he's only like 5 ft 8 so not that BIG) but *drools*

My goal in life is to be in the middle of a Lee/Starbuck sandwich. ;)

I think I've likened the Cmdr of the Pegasus to the drummer in Spinal Tap, but yeah, same difference. I just hope this doesn't bode ill for poor Lee!

Not really into big buff dudes either, or at lesat not usually. A few seem to be turning my head of late (??) And IMHO Jamie Bamber (is that the actor's name?) is noteworthy only partly for the lust factor - it's also a "damn, why can't I be as fit as that?" (though of course, as a woman, I'll never be, I'll just have to aspire to Starbuckdom, though that brings me to):

My goal in life is to be in the middle of a Lee/Starbuck sandwich. ;)

That, madam, is a worthy goal. And you can have them when I'm done ;)

Yeah, his name is Jamie Bamber. I've been a fan of his since he was in the Horatio Hornblower films with Ioan Griffudd (he's so pretty and redhaired in his navy garb...*drools*) and just adore him as Apollo. He's going to be one of the guests at Shore Leave in July which is in your neck of the woods (MD). My friend and I are going in order to drool and squee like the overage fangirls we are. :)

I adore Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck). She was on another series with Richard Dreyfuss about 5 years ago, as his free spirited punk rock daughter. She was adorable and she's got great pipes too (she sang in a band and it was definitely her singing), and she wasn't the stereotypical scrawny anorexic blonde. I think she's got a gorgeous body -- I'd kill for abs like that.

Heh, I could argue that I saw both of them first but I'll let you break them both in for me instead. ;)
