computer related angst
Feb. 19th, 2002 12:49 pmIt's amazing what hell you can go through just moving 5 feet to the left...
I just moved from one side of my office to the other - benefits being more privacy, and I no longer have my back to the door.
I am stunned I did not electrocute myself setting my computer back up. It took an hour just to get the speakers working again (essential because I have to listen to something while doing repetitive tasks). Every time I've moved machines I think to myself "there must be an easier way" while trying to untangle all the 1 billion cords, plugs, etc.
So now my knees are raw and my head has been banged a few times from crawling under the desk.. joy. But at least its over for the next few months (we are supposed to move to a new building in the spring. Being government, this probably translates as "spring of next year").
