Now that I'm done with my midterm (more on that when I actually get the results back):

Attention sewing/costume/textile people:

G Street's spring workshop schedule (PDF) is out. I've got my eye on this one:

Learn the importance of correct proportion of a garment and how to maintain balance and proper hang with your own personal patterns. 1 session. $29

Rockville Saturday 6/3 10:30am-1:00pm and Potomac Mills Friday 6/2 2:00pm-4:30pm; I'm looking at the Rockville class because I've never draped before - OK, I've TRIED to drape on myself, but you really need another person for it and I've never properly draped on anyone. If you decide to go, lemme know - perhaps we can make a day of it and practice draping on each other afterwards or something.

My friend G. advised me of the existence of Spring Water Fiber Workshop; have not been but am interested because they have classes too. Oh yeah, and a blog.

Related: Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival May 6 & 7. I'll be at the Medieval Congress but if you're around and like sheep/wool, there it is.
