Those are great! (although I am pouting slightly 'cause I followed the links relating to their Jayne doll's hat, and the available pattern is too large for my doll)
I just realized how small that hat is - ouch! I shudder to think what kind of arthritis you could develop from knitting one small enough to fit an action figure!!
A hat that small would be finicky, but fast ... knitted seamlessly in the round on the ol' "toothpicks of doom" (the nickname for the thin double-pointed needles used to knit socks) in laceweight yarn, 'twould be less than an hour's work. The really nitpicky part would be making a pompom that tiny. :p
P.S. The motions of knitting are supposed to help loosen up arthritic joints.
Thank you for linking us to the Firefly dolls! I've been trying to make my own set of Stargate dolls. I don't know anything about repainting, resculpting or rerooting hair and quite frankly fear disfiguring so I try to find the dolls that resemble the characters and clothe them appropriately. Can't wait to try out that shop mentioned that has GI Joe stuff, sure beats having to search Ebay for the items I want!
