D. and I have the damndest conversations, mostly because we watch the same stuff. Hellish idea: Buffy/Firefly crossover.

On Firefly: Buffy is pissed because TWO watchers are hovering over her (Giles and Book). Willow and Tara teach River magic, with terrifying results. Jayne is pissed because Buffy has taken over his job. Xander leches on Inara in a geeky but sweet way.

On Buffy: Zoe and Mal are Sunnydale's new sherrifs. Jayne moves in with Spike and they watch soap operas between rounds of beating up demons. The Scooby gang finally has a "getaway car" thanks to Kaylee souping up Giles POS and Wash's mad piloting skillz. Book blesses the holy water. River (not Dawn) turns out to be the Key.

Yes, I evidently have far too much time on my hands :P

Further geekery: genre remapping over at fanthropology (Stargate as Harlequin romance, oh NOOOOO!). And for the academic sorts: Severus Snape: The ideal teacher?

EEEEP!!!!! Do you realize how WELL the Firefly cast fit into Oklahoma? Kaylee is Ado Annie. Wash and Zoe are Curly and Laurey (I'm thinking of the flashback episode, when Wash was extra moustached-geeky and Zoe didn't know WHY she didn't like him). Jayne is Jud Fry. Okay, now I'm scared to go any further ... =O

I've not seen Oklahoma since high school, so I (blessdly?) don't remember. Given that they've both got that "frontier" thing going on, I don't think I should be TOO surprised....
