Not a fantastic day, physically, though I have less cause than others to complain, but please bear with me.

I've been paying attention to my body more lately with the Depo withdrawal, partly out of curiosity, partly out of the desire not to stain my clothes when my period returns. Right now I'm a bit crampy, a bit blue, with some breast tenderness and "different" discharge, so I think I might be about to start. But then, the same symptoms (sans breast tenderness) in late October and nothing happened; in addition it's been almost 10 years since I last menstruated - do I really know what I'm looking for anymore?

I just wish it would hurry up and start so I can schedule it and stop carrying supplies all the time!

Otherwise, went out and voted in the local elections on the way home from work and am off for off-day fencing at 7 (coach out of town for Thurs. practice, so going to the Big Competitive Club for electric bouting tonight).

Talked to the doc about this at length before and after the surgery. He said it could be anywhere from 2 weeks to a year (!) before I started to get regular again :(

Sounds like you might be starting menopause - lucky :)

Wow - up to a year! I didn't think it would take that long, but I guess it makes sense, after not having periods for 10 years.

As for menopause, I tend to think so, although my doc ran tests awhile ago to see, and she said not yet. But I don't have any other explanation for the irregularity, so yeah, I hope it's coming!

I'm ready, believe me.
