Found over at Shakespeare's Sister: Women feel more pain than men. Evidently this is because we have more nerve receptors/cm².

I prefer to look on the bright side - perhaps we have a greater capacity to feel pleasure, too :) Might also explain why I'm such a sucker for massages!

A friend of mine had a job during the tech boom that would bring in professional massage therapists for the employees, twice a month. I'm amazed they got any work done [bliss!]

I read that too, that we feel more pain, but the same study said that we can stand more pain than men, for a longer period of time.
