spaghetti sauce in a jar?
Oct. 20th, 2005 06:30 pmEvery Thursday I have spaghetti before fencing. It's 1) fast, 2) simple, 3) just enough to fuel me without dragging me down.
Whole wheat spaghetti, half a jar of sauce, and organic ground beef. That's it.
However...
The local grocery has stopped carrying the one sauce D. and I both liked (Classico Hearty Steak) and everything else we've tried has been glitteringly bland. Edible, but not something one looks forward to or anything. We've tried bordeaux marinara, tomato and garlic and my tastebuds need more than this to get out of bed.
I know it's probably heresy to real foodies, but can anyone recommend a spaghetti sauce in a jar that has flavor?
