On top of whatever else is going on, I think I have a UTI, and this one won't go away on it's own. My kidneys feel like someone is stepping on them - in very soft, lightweight shoes, but stepping, nonetheless :(

I've got too many active things coming up in the next few days to let this slow me down, so I'm heading to the doc today. Also getting flu shot today, supplies permitting.

I'm coming to the realization that I need to expand my vocal vocabulary. Between my overwhelming urges to drawl "Duuuuuuuuude..." and absurd ability to spout movie lines, I'm starting to sound like a cross between Bill and Ted and Sick Boy from "Trainspotting". But I don't think they have a pill for that :P

True, but surely I can come up with a creative thought of my own. Somewhere, surely...

I know what you mean. Some kind of hybrid between BodieKai:ness and Movie-Geek disorder. And I think it is even worse in my case, as it comes out abit peculiar when everyone around me is speaking Swedish....

But it's got STYLE when you're with a bunch of English speakers - trust me!

Tim can tell you, there are times when I lose my vocabulary or the ability to speak English. Ya'll might have noticed this when we were all at Gigi's house. I'm not sure exactly why this happens but it tends to happen at the worst times. My co workers often comment on it, always bringing up the "hose pipe" incident. I'm kind of worried that it could be a sign of early dementia setting in. Perhaps I need to try harder to develope my telepathy, sometimes Tim can actually pick up on my thoughts and figure out just what I'm trying to tell him.

I hope you get to feeling better. :)

I didn't notice anything amiss at Gigi's - you seemed quite verbal and coherent - given that all of us were operating on busy schedule/no sleep, I'd say that we all did a remarkable job of understanding each other :)

And blanking on vocabulary is astonishingly frequent with many people. Usually when you're looking for that *particular* word is when it vanishes!

It's especially startling when the word appears on your tongue in French and not English, and you don't even remember that you *knew* that word in French, but dammit, you wanted the English one!

Oh, wait... that's just my "normal". Nevermind. :p
