While filing this weekend I've been listening to Seamus Heaney's reading of "Beowulf" - turns out D. had the CD for some time, but I had blanked on the name until he pointed out it was the same guy who translated "Hallaig". It's a good translation - the grandeur of epic poetry with modern language so it's not quite so opaque. Good stuff.
