1. bdsm:
   The exchange of pain and power is a personal interest of mine. If you want details, ask :)
2. church-state separation:
   The founders had it right - the combination of politics and religion degrades both. The wall of separation should not be continually chipped away!
3. daily show:
   Best political reporting on American TV today. That's pretty damn sad!
4. geekery:
   Peculiar interests, obsessive detail, not just in the traditional geek arts (computers, music, electronics) but other disciplines as well.
5. japanese designers:
   The group of designers from Japan that first gained interest in the west in the 1980s (Issey Miyake, Rei Kawakubo/Comme de Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto) for their "intellectual fashion", geometric shapes and minimalism. Sharp like a knife, lurve it!
6. makeup:
   Makeup is a fun toy, the same way paint and crayons are :)
7. pop will eat itself:
   The late, lamented, incredible PWEI started the trend of dance-rock crossover in the late 80s. Self-described as "intergalactic punk-rock hip hop" they were pop culture saturated rude noise polluters! Recommended :)
8. sex and the city:
   Kind of lost track when Carrie stole Big from his wife - I hate watching characters do repetitively stupid things - but the first season or so was funny.
9. the sandman:
   Neil Gaiman's graphic novel series, 'nuff said.
10. xfiles:
    The first few seasons were just ART of the paranormal genre. The last few, not so much...
